Those good-looking (sometimes not) emails you receive that--when done right--look and act like mini web pages in your inbox. Many designers can't be bothered with them: there are too many design restrictions along with what they consider to be too many headaches in making them look good in all the various email clients in use today (e.g. Outlook, gmail, Thunderbird, aol, etc.). I welcome the challenge and, in fact, enjoy it.
I create a custom email template for each client utilizing their existing logo and branding (if they have none, I create that for them too). I test each one of my emails in as many email clients as possible to insure that they look consistent across all. I also manage many of my clients' email marketing accounts (e.g. Vertical Response, Constant Contact) and take care of the upload and sending of each email.
